The sewer line that connects from your home to a municipal sewer line or septic tank is the most important pipe that needs to function properly. All wastewater that exits a home or building must be able to pass through this pipe. If there is any sort of blockage to the sewer line, a messy back-up will occur.

Sewer lines constructed of clay tile pipes often have root growth infiltration through pipe joints or cracks. They come in from surface trees or shrubs. Roots enter a sewer lateral seeking water and nutrients. Roots continue to grow inside a sewer line, becoming larger and larger forming a blockage. Using an electric cable snake, root blockages can be economically removed. For more difficult root masses, they can be temporarily removed by a cutter head on a snake cable machine. Cutting or removing roots from a sewer line does not guarantee the elimination of future root problems. Just as surface tree roots will grow, the roots can infiltrate back into the sewer line.

Our plumbers have the right equipment for your sewer blockage. If it is a tree root infiltration then a cable (snake) with blades on the end may be used. Then if necessary a high-pressure sewer water jetting system will be used to flush it out. If it is a sludge type clog, such as grease in your sewer line, then sewer jetting may be the best solution for your clogged sewer line. Our plumbers will provide the best solution for cleaning your main sewer line.
